Building my dreams on the runways of Paris!
What is your story?
I am Lolo, a Sierra Leone from a humble background Apart from being a model I am a second year student in linguistic at the University of Lorraine in France. I started modelling in Europe about more than a year ago. However I have taken part I beauty pageants when I was in my early teens which has helped me in discovering my real self.
As a black skinned model, what are the oops & Ahhs that comes with it?
Being a model and a student at the same time is not an easy tax finding a perfect balance for both has been difficult. Apart from this, I haven’t encountered many opps and ahhs as a black skinned model yet.
What has been your most fascinated moments so far?
I have had so many fascinating moments in my life so far but the most fascinating is when I went to Egypt for a photo shoot and dived into the sea of Sharma el Sheikh for the first time! It was so amazing!
What are your limits on the kind of shoots you do? if there is any?
My photo shoots are limited to lingerie for now but who knows what the future holds?
How do your family feel about you modelling?
My family is kind of tolerant with me even though they are concerned about the kind of shoots I make.
What is your end goal as a model?
Besides the fact that I’ll want to be featured in covers of famous fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, Bazar, InStyle, Fashion etc., and walk the runway of famous designers, my ultimate goal is to impact the lives of thousands of girls and women.
What passion project are to working on currently?
For the moment, I’m working on participating in Africa Fashion Week London and Miss super model Worldwide Africa and Milan Fashion week that will hold this summer.
How is the black Paris community?
The black community in Paris is diversified with different interests. And it’s peaceful and warm.
What are your typical day out in Paris?
My typical day out in Paris is picnicking under the Eiffel Tower with friends, pretty nice though. I also like having a walk around the Louvre.
What do you do with your weekends?
I normally chill out during weekends with friends, I dance; as dancing is my favourite sport.
I do my usual fitness workout and Sundays I go to church.
What’s your beauty routines?
Well my beauty routine is as follows:
I drink plenty of water to keep my body healthy
I often eat fresh food and I don’t eat in a rush to prevent putting on wright.
I exfoliate once a week to get rid of dead skin cells
I always moisturize my face
I always wash my face and apply a night cream before going to bed.
Your 5 beauty essentials are?
My five beauty essentials are, leave in conditioner, foundation, face powder, mascara, and a strawberry flavoured lip balm.
Food cuisine or junk food?
I like eating fresh food and sea food rather than junk food…
